Tandle Hills

Come with me and we will go
A walk to Tandle Hills
Along the paths and through the fields
Away from all the mills

We'll take the dog and let him run
Freely as a bird
We'll picnic when we're halfway there
With tarts of lemon curd

Then when at last we reach the top
We'll see the parish church
And linger back along the way
Admiring silver birch

Then we will go to the Olde Boar's Head
And I will buy you wine
We'll see the park and library too
The pleasure will be mine

We'll sit and gaze at our old school
Then through the park we will run
And down to Kanky Ginnel
Oh! Can you imagine the fun

As memories all come flooding back
We'll go and have some tea
Then stay up talking all the night
Of how things used to be
