Springwood

Deep into the woods I stroll
Aimlessly without a goal
I wander through the verdant glade
The welcome branches give me shade

The songbird singing loud and sweet
I stop awhile to rest tired feet
A little stream goes rippling by
The bluebells nod to catch my eye

A robin plays games of hide and seek
I stand in silence, dare not speak
He flys away as on I go
As drifts of ramsons look like snow

Down and down the path goes on
Delightful in the summer sun
A peaceful calm surrounds the air
Tranquility forever here
