The Blossoms of Eighty-Four

After winters gloomy end
When spring arrives for to lend
Blossoms of many a different hue,
To gladden hearts and souls renew.

For no march winds or gales did scheme
To end this promise of a dream.
Apple,cherry and magnolia tree
Blossomed forth abundantly.

And hearts were glad to see the sight
While cats did play in sheer delight.
Along the laden branches stalked
Perhaps a bird now might be caught.

And mans best friend had given in
To winters wind and blinding rain.
But now another lease of life
He gets a bone, forgets his strife.

For spring refreshes every soul
As shiny leaves each day unfold.
Every creature finds delight
In these spring days with warm delight.

Again each day we try to cope
With life's unfolding horoscope.
