Nineteen ninety has just begun
In it we’ll have lots of fun
To pay our way is all we ask
And never to be brought to task
To roam the heather, heath and moor
How can we say that we are poor?
The hills and valleys all around
With nature's gifts they do abound
Old friends stop by to visit us
Bringing memories of a bygone age
When we were young and full of life
An early chapter in lifes page
It’s time to ponder on the past
To see where we went wrong
But then we would do it all again
If we were young and strong
So to the new decade we look
With hope and joy today
Though hair that once was golden red
Has turned to silver grey
