The Bluebells

We walked along a leafy lane
The night had brought a shower of rain
With the morning came the sun
Which added to the sense of fun

In the distance we could see
Blue and white abundantly
Soon its perfume filled the air
But we could only stand and stare

The bluebells nodded daintily
With ramsons all around
Their white contrasting with the blue
What beauty we had found
